Scripture Memory Songs

Scripture Memory Songs
Join Hermie and his garden friends as they teach Scripture to kids through this new CD series that will provide kids with a fun learning experience. Each CD will be comprised of 10-15 Scripture songs (in stereo) sung by kids and taken directly from Scriptures using ICB, KJV, NKJV, NAS and NCV. Each CD will feature a "missing word" version. As the song repeats, key words will be missing from the vocal in order to help reinforce Scripture memory. For parents who are looking for a tool to help kids learn God's Word, these Scripture Memory Songs will help kids of all ages learn with ease and fun as only Hermie and his garden friends can!

Hermie: A Common Caterpillar

Hermie: A Common Caterpillar
So what's so bad about being a common caterpillar? Just ask Hermie – or his friend, Wormie - and they'll tell you. No splashy stripes. No stand-out spots. Not even a cool house like the snail or super-strength like the ant. Compared to the rest of God's beautiful creation, they just feel ordinary. Unimportant. A little out of place. But God sees past their plainness, and plans an incredible surprise to show them just how special they are.

Featuring the voices of Tim Conway as Hermie and Don Knotts as Wormie, these caterpillars encounter a host of delightful characters and quickly wriggle their way into the hearts of young and old alike. But as the animation engages young minds, the truth of God's purpose and plan for His people touches their souls. It's a message of hope you'll want your kids to hear, and a fun-filled adventure that will keep them crawling back for more.

Webster, the Scaredy Spider

Webster, the Scaredy Spider

Max Lucado's Hermie and Friends™ is proud to introduce the third movie in this series...Webster, the Scaredy Spider!" Did someone say SPIDER?! AGGHH!" (Well—Hermie is proud to introduce him. Everyone else just runs in fear.) With little regard to the "Garden Treaty of '85," Webster wanders into the garden to face his long list of fears: leaving home, other insects, talking in front of others, meeting new people, big lizards, water, heights, flying through the air, dark places . . . (You get the point.) Little does he know that he is a big, hairy source of fear for all of the other insects in the garden. But with guidance from God (after, of course, getting up the courage to talk to Him), Webster finds a way to face his fears, and in turn, the other insects learn to face Webster. Kids of all ages will appreciate this light-hearted reminder that God is always beside them.

A Fruitcake Christmas

A Fruitcake Christmas

The true meaning of Christmas comes to the garden.

It's Christmas time in the garden and Hermie and his friends are hustling and bustling to prepare for the big day. But more than anything, they all eagerly anticipate the crowning moment of the holiday season: the arrival of Grannypillar's scrumptious fruitcake. Suddenly Christmas is hijacked when Iggy and Ziggy Cockroach - the meanest, greediest bugs in the garden - steal Grannypillar's fruitcake. How will Christmas survive? But deep in the heart of the garden's youngest, the true meaning of Christmas shines. Hailey and Bailey, through an act of unheard generosity, together remind the garden that the celebration of Christmas is nothing about fruitcake, but about God's gift to us all, through His Son, Jesus.
Tim Conway & Don Knotts are joined by popular radio duo Rick& Bubba (as Iggy and Ziggy Roach) whose radio program, originating in Birmingham, AL, is heard in five states and broadcast daily on Turner South Cable.

Stanley the Stinkbug

Stanley the Stinkbug
There's someone new coming to the garden's Summer Camp this year, and, well, he has a problem.

He stinks.

But that's what stink bugs do. So, when Stanley arrives at Camp-Bug-a-Boo, he creates quite a…well, stink. Everyone tries their best to put up with the unusual odor, but things don't go so well. But then God helps the summer camp to realize that the reason Stanley stinks is because he's afraid and the thing he is most afraid of is others not liking him and accepting him the way he is. Our garden friends soon learn that God created each of us for very special reasons and that, even though Stanley is different, they need to show him love.

With only one nut left in the entire garden, friends turn into enemies as it's a mad dash to see who grabs the last, elusive nut. To remain friends and to save the show, the bugs must learn to share.

Hermie and Friends

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about Max Lucado and reviewed a couple of his books. This week I would like to mention to you about a couple of videos Max Lucado has done for children. I is an entire series dedicated to teaching children about the attributes of being a Christian. Each video features a unique theme with Max giving a personal message for the children. Though the videos are for “children” the entire family and “children” of all ages will enjoy.

Hermie & Friends/Flo Show Creates A Buzz
It's About Saying You're Sorry
Flo is back and she's got her own TV talk show! But does she ever have a lesson to learn!

When Flo gets her own TV talk show, she is positively thrilled! She has to think about what to say, what to wear, and who to invite as guests. What she isn't thinking about are other people's feelings. After insulting every guest on her show, she finally realizes that she needs to apologize for the means things she said. Flo learns that words are very powerful. In fact, the words "I'm sorry" can make all the difference. Children will learn that by saying you're sorry, you are asking forgiveness and fixing your friends with another person. Featuring the voice talents of Vicki Lawrence as "Flo" and Tim Conway as "Hermie."

Hermie & Friends/Skeeter & Mystery Of Lost
It's About Being Unique
Poor Skeeter can't seem to do anything right. His famous older brother can do no wrong. Which one will find the treasure?

Skeeter's "perfect" brother Sir Sinclair M. Skeeto, the world famous adventurer, comes to the garden with a mysterious treasure map left by their father. All the garden gang are in awe of Sinclair, and fawn all over him. But could it really be up to wrong-way Skeeter and his crooked stinger to solve the mystery of the treasure's location?

Introducing John O'Hurley (Seinfeld, Dancing With the Stars) as Sir Sinclair M. Skeeto. Also featuring the voice talents of Tim Conway and Melissa Disney.
Lesson is based on Psalm 139:13-14 about each of us being designed especially by God.

Max Lucado's Hermie & Friends: Hermie and the High Seas
If Hermie is good at anything, it's believing what God says.
Good thing God never says anything unusual to Hermie. Uh-oh...suddenly there's room for doubt. What possible need would the Garden Gang have for a boat? It hasn't rained in ages. Isn't it good enough to believe God once–why do we have to keep on trusting Him time after time?

Hermie and the High Seas teaches the lesson based on Jesus' words from the mountain-side in Matthew 6 about relying on God to care for our every need."

Max Lucado's Hermie & Friends: Hailey & Bailey's Silly Fight
Most twins have abiding love for each other.
Hailey and Bailey are no different. Well, there was that one time . .
It's the age-old conflict: blueberries vs. tomatoes. Or was it oatmeal vs. Cap'n Crunch? She hit me first? Come to think of it, sibling disputes are almost never "about" anything. They are just silly.

When Hailey and Bailey can't agree on what to pack for their picnic, the resulting feud spills over to the entire garden and threatens to undo the good deeds the twins have actually agreed to perform. Join our favorite garden friends as we learn about getting along.

Lesson is based on Jesus' words in Mark 12:31 about loving our neighbor as we love ourselves.
