In the Bible, a rock is repeatedly used as a metaphor for Jesus Christ and His spiritual assurance. So as a symbol for Jesus Christ, the "Solid Rock" in our name communicate our mission, and the attitude of our hearts and, hopefully, those that wear our products. Solid Rock Jewelry's popular contemporary products are of course, designed for fashion, but fashion is just one of the practical reasons that the products succeed commercially. Retailers who carry Solid Rock Jewelry often comment on the range of customers buying our products, the importance of having Christian products that appeal to the critical youth audience and on Solid Rock Jewelry's cutting edge product designs. Dolores and Scott Hahn have been making jewelry commercially for over 20 years. They each began their walk with the Lord later in life and have been able to increasingly apply their life skills to a spiritual mission. Scott and Dolores say, "We see a generation of young people with a need to express their love for the Lord in fresh new ways. They also want to be a witness to their "un-churched" peers, and we design our jewelry with these people in mind. We want to let people make the statement that being a Christian can be both exciting and fun."
Many of you know our passion for China’s orphans. After given the privilege of visiting our daughter’s orphanages, our hearts ache for those girls left behind. Our family is committed to helping China’s “Lost Daughters”. Our mission is to help enrich the lives and enhance the prospects for the babies and children in China who still wait to be adopted, and for those who will spend their entire childhoods in orphanages. We now have part of our website dedicated to raising money to aid children in Chinese orphanages. A portion of all sales of Wishing Tree Products will be given to organizations such as Half The Sky and Love Without Boundaries that we are partnering with. Visit www.lovewithoutboundaries.com and www.halfthesky.org for more information on these fine organizations.

Things Not Seen - Christian Apparel
"Things Not Seen was placed on my heart in November of 2006," said CEO, Robert Taylor.
At that time, and after many discussions with trusted mentors, friends, and much prayer, Robert had the faith that the endeavor would become a reality, but the issue of when was up to God. He had this planned long before Robert ever came into existence, and only He knew when.
In August of 2007, Things Not Seen was born.
The mission of the company has always been:
"To Evangelize to the World the Message of Jesus Christthrough our line of Christian Clothing and Accessories."
In 2008, TNS grew to be carried nationally by many wonderful stores and begin expanding into international markets.
Our name is derived from an incredible passage in Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV):"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Listen for that still, small voice as God is always with you! Embrace your Faith...It is a TRUE gift from God.
May Things Not Seen Clothing and Accessories bring you much joy, and allow you to...

DaySpring Inspirational Gifts and Cards
DaySpring Gifts and Cards
DaySpring Cards was born in a small commercial print shop in Covina, California, in 1971. The company was founded by four Christian men — Dean Kerns, Don Leetch, Russ Flint, and Roy Lessin. These men started DaySpring with a common vision, to make Christ known through the printed message.
The first greeting Card was created in the winter of that year. It was a Christmas card with a very simple but direct message. The cover of the card showed a man sitting near a Christmas tree after the gifts had been opened. There was a look of despair on his face. The cover read, “When you get right down to it...”; the inside of the card read, “...the only thing that really matters is Jesus.”
When the card was sent out, store owners and their customers responded enthusiastically. That card served as a messenger to make DaySpring aware of the great need for development of Christian cards. Additional cards for Christmas and other occasions were soon developed, and the tag line When You Want to Share Your Heart and God’s Love was written to express DaySpring’s mission.
The company remained in California for eight years, and experienced great growth and acceptance within the Christian publishing industry. In 1979, through direction from the Lord, DaySpring moved to the city of Siloam Springs in northwest Arkansas. The company purchased land and built its plant in a beautiful country setting near the Illinois River. Only 30 employees made the move to Arkansas to begin this new adventure.
Shortly after the move, DaySpring made a major directional change, becoming a full-service greeting card company to Christian bookstores. Selling footage instead of individual cards launched the company into a new phase of growth and expansion. Within a few years the staff multiplied tenfold. New buildings were constructed, and DaySpring was on its way to becoming the largest publisher and distributor of Christian greeting cards in the world.
In 1987, DaySpring formed a partnership with David C. Cook Publishing Company and became a wholly owned division of Cook Communications Ministries. DaySpring acquired Personal Expressions and the Sunshine® boxed card line from Warner Press in 1997.
In 1999, DaySpring was acquired by Hallmark Cards, Inc. from Cook Communications. A press release from Hallmark Cards contains details about the purchase and the exciting partnership between DaySpring and Hallmark.
In 2006, DaySpring founded Blessings Unlimited, a home party company offering Christian and inspirational products for sale by independent consultants. The company is made up of Christian entrepreneurs across the U.S. running their own ministry-based business.
FACTS & FIGURES
DaySpring is a leading manufacturer and distributor of Christian greeting cards and other personal expression products and gifts. DaySpring products are sold in Christian retailers, card and gift stores, and other outlets in the United States and 60 foreign countries. Based in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, DaySpring has a staff of over 325 employees. In 1999, the company was acquired by Hallmark. DaySpring offers more than 7,000 products each year and touches more than 850 million people in a year. The company has changed many times throughout the years, but the purpose and vision remains the same — to make Christ known.
MISSION STATEMENT
To know God, to demonstrate His kingdom, and to help people throughout the world know and share His love by providing Christians with tools of communication that express God's heart in fresh new ways.
THE NAME
DaySpring is a name given in Scripture to Jesus Christ. Luke records the prophetic song of Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist, on the occasion of John’s birth. The Holy Spirit showed Zechariah that John would prepare the people for salvation through forgiveness of sins by the coming Messiah, and that God’s mercy on His people would bring this about. The Holy Spirit also showed Zechariah that “the dayspring from on high” (Luke 1:78 KJV) was to come and “give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death to guide our feet into the way of peace” (Luke 1:79). Our intent at DaySpring Cards is to spread the light from that sunrise by creating products that honor and reflect His name, His character, His nature, His kindness, and His love.

Beverly Lewis, Seasons of Grace Series

Beverly Marie Jones (Lewis) was born in the heart of Amish country
Lancaster, Pennsylvania. At the tender age of nine, she began writing short stories and poetry. Prior to that, she made up lyrics to the "little fingers" piano pieces she learned, at the age of five.

Not until her own children were well into middle school did Bev seek to publish her work, first in magazines such as Highlights for Children, Dolphin Log, and Guideposts for Kids. Her first book followed in 1993—Mountain Bikes and Garbanzo Beans—presently retitled Big Bad Beans (book #22 in the popular Cul-de-Sac Kids series of chapter books—see list of Bev's children's books).
Beverly's first venture into adult fiction is the best-selling trilogy, The Heritage of Lancaster County, including The Shunning, a suspenseful saga of Katie Lapp, a young Amish woman drawn to the modern world by secrets from her past. The book is loosely based on the author's maternal grandmother, Ada Ranck Buchwalter, who left her Old Order Mennonite upbringing to marry a Bible College student. One Amish-country newspaper claimed Beverly's work to be "a primer on Lancaster County folklore" and offers "an insider's view of Amish life."
Booksellers across the country, and around the world, have spread the word of Bev's tender tales of Plain country life. A clerk in a Virginia bookstore wrote, "Beverly's books have a compelling freshness and spark. You just don't run across writing like that every day. I hope she'll keep writing stories about the Plain people for a long, long time."
A member of the National League of American Pen Women, as well as a Distinguished Alumnus of Evangel University, Lewis has written over 80 books for children, youth, and adults, many of them award-winning. She and her husband, David, make their home in Colorado, where they enjoy hiking, biking, and playing with their three grandchildren. They are also avid musicians and fiction "book worms."
In the seemingly ordinary Amish home of Grace Byler, secrets abound. Why does her mother weep in the night? Why does her father refuse to admit something is dreadfully wrong? Then, in one startling moment, everything Grace assumed she knew is shattered. Her mother's disappearance leaves Grace reeling and unable to keep her betrothal promise to her long-time beau. Left to pick up the pieces of her life, Grace questions all she has been taught about love, family, and commitment.
Heather Nelson is an English grad student, stunned by a doctor's diagnosis. Surely fate would not allow her father to lose his only daughter after the death of his wife a few years before. In denial and telling no one she is terminally ill, Heather travels to Lancaster County--the last place she and her mother had visited together. Will Heather find healing for body and spirit?
As the lives of four wounded souls begin to weave together like an Amish patchwork quilt, they each discover missing pieces of their life puzzles--and glimpse the merciful and loving hand of God.
As the lives of four wounded souls begin to weave together like an Amish patchwork quilt, they each discover missing pieces of their life puzzles--and glimpse the merciful and loving hand of God.
Twenty-one-year-old Grace Byler longs to find her missing mother and to uncover the secret that drove her to leave them three weeks before. Grace suspects the reason has to do with her father and his reserved, uncommunicative ways. This conviction led Grace to break off her betrothal to her quiet, staid beau, and she is now resigned to remain single. But when the young Amishman she thought was courting her best friend takes a sudden interest in her, Grace is befuddled and wonders if he can be trusted. "Englisher" Heather Lang has come to Amish country to relive fond memories of her mother and to contemplate a grave medical prognosis of her own. While in Bird-in-Hand, Heather meets Grace Byler and the two young women strike up a fast friendship, amazed by how well they click. Following the only clue they have, Grace and Heather travel together in hopes of finding Grace's mother and bringing her home. Will they find what they're looking for...or something much more?

Kerusso, Christian Apparel

CEO/President Vic Kennett founded Kerusso in 1987. Over the past 22 years Kerusso has become the premier and dominant producer of Christian-themed apparel. In 1998 Kerusso began introducing other products such as: jewelry, gifts and accessories. Today the Kerusso campus occupies 10 acres which is home to over 65,000 square feet of manufacturing, and office space. It all started while Vic was working construction and tearing up tile in a restroom. Noticing people wearing shirts with various Christian messages on them he thought, “I could make T-Shirts like that.” God puts dreams in our hearts in the strangest of places.
In the past 22 years Vic Kennett and God have built a company that employs over 120 people in the town of Berryville, AR. The company continues to stay true to their original mission of preaching the Good News of Jesus Christ around the world. The company sells their products in more than 5,000 stores worldwide, including Emmaus Road Christian Store and Emmaus Road Christian Store’s online site. Throughout the years the company has distributed more that 7 million garments encouraging people to “seek to know the God of the universe through His Son Jesus.”
From the very beginning the Kennett’s mission has been to do his best to literally obey Jesus and the “Great Commission” (Matthew 28: 19-20).
Kerusso began on a shoestring budget and a mustard seed of faith. Kennett borrowed $1,000 from his family and placed an ad in Campus Life magazine starting his mail order business. The name Kerusso was chosen as the company name because it is a Greek word that means “to preach.” The mail order business almost put Kerusso out of business and then Kennett made the decision to go “wholesale.” Great decision.
Going from mail order to wholesale via the family house to 6,000 square feet to a facility over 65, 000 square feet and an employee base of 120 plus in just 22 years. God is good! The company now offers a full line of gifts and jewelry.
Vic Kennett believes that t-shirts are still effective for communicating the gospel message. He says that t-shirts are the “standard uniform for 3-30 year olds.” Kennett says the Message is #1 irregardless of current styles. When the two can co-exist then the Message is even stronger.

Thistle Farms and Magdalene

Thistle Farms began their operations in 2001 as a cottage business of Magdalene, a two-year residential community founded by Reverend Becca Stevens for women with a history of prostitution and drug addiction. By hand, “the women create natural bath and body products that are as kind to the environment as they are to the body.” Again, being of the male species, I don’t know much about “being kind to the body” part but my wife and daughter will let us know later. All sales proceeds go back into supporting the residents of Magdalene. Through Thistle Farms, the women of Magdalene gain much-needed job skills and learn responsibility and cooperation. Into every product goes the belief that true freedom starts with healing and that love can change lives. The dream of Thistle Farms is that people will come to see Thistle Farms as a humble but powerful business that is synonymous with women’s freedom.
Magdalene we founded not just to help a sub-culture of women, but to help change the larger culture itself. Magdalene stands in solidarity with women who are recovering from sexual abuse, violence, life on the streets, and who have paid dearly for a culture that buys and sells women like commodities. At no cost, Magdalene offers women a safe, disciplined, and compassionate community for two years, paid for by the gifts received from individuals and private grants. Magdalene stands as a witness to the truth that in the end, love is more powerful than all the forces that drive women to the streets.
Between the Magdalene residents and the affiliates (those who live in their own housing and the women in safe housing), Magdalene provides services for 30-35 women at any given time. Over a hundred women have come and lived for two years in the past decade and through their safe house and outreach programs. Since Magdalene opened their doors, 75% of the women who stay after their introductory period of 30 days, complete the program and graduate. The program draws women from all over the United States and Honduras. Presently there are programs in Charleston, Chattanooga and in North Carolina.
Women with a criminal history of prostitution and addiction are invited to stay up to two years in one of their homes rent free, in a community with other residents and no live-in staff. During their stay, Magdalene provides a plan that is individualized for each woman that includes medical care, therapy, opportunities for addiction recovery, education and employment. At the present time there are five houses and an emergency safe house for four women.
Thistle Farms and Magdalene is an awesome organization. To view their products, click here.
